After a long time we want to share with you our unpleasant, or rather sad experience with the implementation of the reconstruction project. In this project it was the current building of the municipal office in Trstena, which we remember with a bit of nostalgia. The details of the historic building that Trstena could be proud of have not disappeared, they have not disappeared, they are just covered for many years under the facade slabs of polystyrene. The original wooden windows have been replaced by cheap imitation windows from neighbouring Poland. Valuable wrought-iron bars ended up in the scrap. The lining of the front door with its valuable handmade stucco plasterwork has disappeared. The reconstruction of the town office could have been carried out in a more appropriate way. I would have faulted the investor if there had not been at least an effort to preserve the original shape of the fa\u00e7ade. He achieved this with colour concessions in the polystyrene and with colour differentiation. But was this necessary? The fa\u00e7ade of a historic building could have been nicely rehabilitated and colorfully restored. The roof, with the creation of an attic, could have been done as it was in its original state. But was it necessary to cover this fa\u00e7ade with polystyrene? <\/p>\n
