In this article I want to focus specifically on the very well executed reconstruction of the original building. I am very pleased to be able to praise here an interesting realization, such as the reconstruction of a traditional brick house in the village of Novot’. This traditional brick house is said to be the second brick house in the village and was built in 1927. There are very few such houses from that period, as wooden houses were the norm at that time. A large part of the brick houses were in the village of Slanica, but unfortunately it is under the water of the Orava dam. Such buildings are all the more valuable. In our company MARCUS TRADE and of course myself, we are very happy with everyone who undertakes such reconstruction and at the same time puts a higher emphasis on preserving the original mass of the building. In the case of the aforementioned reconstruction, the owner of the property has succeeded very well and the dominant elements of the original building have remained almost as original. The replacement of the roof trusses took this requirement into account and this also ensured the realisation of a habitable attic. The façade is a combination of white and sky blue. The cornices, lining and decorations on the corners of the façade reflect the original architecture. A few photos of the result of this renovation can be found in the gallery.
