Ventilated facades and the implementation of different facade claddings are realised in different ways. In many cases, solutions are sought to make the fixing of the facade panels as cheap as possible and therefore various mistakes are made which reduce the lifetime of the facade. The main and very important parameter for the cladding grid is its overall weight and its impact on the envelope in terms of its thermal insulation properties. The best solution is to use a grating that is made of aluminium profiles. They are strong, with good thermal expansion, resistant to corrosion and, above all, very lightweight compared to steel. In the figure below we have shown a grate that we consider unsuitable and compared it with an aluminium base grate
