Incorrect plating of the dormer with farmer’s screws

Our customer shared with us one experience when repairing the cladding of a dormer. The previous company had gone out of their way to carry out the dormer flashings in contravention of any sheet metal installation guidelines.

The plumbers repaired the dormers by laying a folded roofing on the roof of the dormer and its sheathing was also realized with facade cassettes made of folded roofing. This is a very efficient way to carry out such constructions and especially in the combination of folded roofing.

Look at the original condition of the skylights. The use of farmer’s screws is not acceptable to use in some cases. This is especially so when fitting sightline plumbing elements. Even the uninitiated can evaluate that the above installation was incorrect and it was money wasted for the investor. He had to pay for the installation to two companies. One when the roof of the building was installed and the other when the dormers were claimed and repaired.
