Contemporary terraces are a very important and modern feature in any new building. A terrace made of pine wood is ideal, but it should be remembered that it is not a maintenance-free material. For this reason, there are alternative cement-bonded or wpc materials on the market, the use of which should ensure an increased durability of the terrace. Even though the paving layer is of high quality and durable, mistakes are often made during installation. The basic structure is the subfloor grid, which in most cases is made of wood. In the best case it is painted with an insecticide and insecticide for long-term protection of the wood, which is fine, but even more important is the protection against water. This protection is ensured by protective PVC tape, or even bituminous tape stapled to the subfloor with a staple gun.
