Milling with a plasterboard cutter to help installers even with difficult interior design details is an interesting topic. Particularly in new builds, the requirements for the workmanship of all the details are very important. It’s a good idea to have an experienced company take the plunge into progressive interior design and approach every detail responsibly. This is the only way to create an interesting reference for the installation company.
The details that need to be resolved are mainly:
- a joint around the perimeter,
- light ramp in the ceiling in the centre of the room,
- joints in the ceiling,
- recessed plinth with lighting effect,
- garage with recessed wiring,
There are several ways to realize different lighting effects:
- milling plasterboard using a FLEX or FESTOOL milling machine ,
- the use of PROTEKTOR spar profiles,
- the purchase of prefabricated blanks of plasterboard.
Milling with a FLEX or FESTOOL milling cutter
The advantage is the use of a guide rail, thanks to which it is possible to precisely mill grooves in the plasterboard according to your imagination. It is also possible to treat the boards in this way and then there is no need to use corner beads at all.
Use of PROTEKTOR spar profiles
You can also find several solutions in our e-shop. The advantage here is that you don’t need to buy an expensive cutter and you only need a quality knife and an angle for cutting plasterboard. The most popular is the slotted profile from PROTEKTOR.
Thanks to these profiles, it is possible to both create slots and insert LED strips into them.
We will be glad if you take a look at the brochure with inspiration for the application of LED strips.

By combining all of the above mentioned methods of interior realization, it is possible to fill a gap in the market that is evident in this segment. We will be happy to help you find the best solution if you are a plasterboard construction contractor, or if you are a construction company looking for a subcontract for interior construction.
When undertaking a project, having good tools is an important aspect. Its absence will only become apparent when the work is completed, especially after the walls have been painted and the lights have been switched on. It is the lights that are the best “critic” of the completed work. See also our short video where we present our tools for plasterboard installation.
