The importance of using a gutter profile

Every façade system contractor notes the use of an over-window eaves profile in their installation procedures. It serves mainly to drain rainwater from the façade and to allow water to drain directly from the nose of the eaves profile. Unfortunately many contractors do not use it and this is a big mistake. Figure 1 shows an example of the use of a gutter profile. Figure 2 shows the consequence of not using this profile.

Use of eaves profile No. 3794

The picture below shows a balcony where the eaves profile has not been used. This has caused white spots on the underside of the balcony. This is because rainwater did not run off the edge of the balcony but spilled over the bottom of the balcony. This moisture has a long-lasting effect on the plaster, damaging it. Such white spots can only be avoided by using eaves profile No. 3794.
