An interesting carpentry construction was built in 2021 in Oravská Lesná, where the municipality built a new information centre. I couldn’t help but document a few milestones in the construction of this building. I managed to take a picture of the needle that the carpenters had just made and were preparing to install on the exterior walls of the tower. What is particularly interesting in terms of the construction of the turret is the roofing, which is wood shingles. It is a traditional roofing material that was used in the Orava region and it has been used very nicely on this turret as well. There are a few companies in Slovakia manufacturing shingles, so it is always good to evaluate the choice of supplier of this roofing correctly.
